The latest box office sensation, Dhurandhar, is now giving tough competition to Avatar: Fire and Ash in India. With its third Friday collections, Dhurandhar joined the elite Rs. 500 crores nett (Hindi version) club in India, a feat previously achieved by Baahubali: The Conclusion, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, Stree 2, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and Chhaava. Dhurandhar is the fastest Hindi film to join the Rs. 500 crore nett club.
The third Friday numbers are jaw-dropping, as Dhurandhar broke the previous record by almost double the margin. The film earned Rs. 23.70 crores nett on its third Friday. Chhaava (Rs. 13.3 crores nett), Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs. 12.5 crores nett), and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs. 10.05 crores nett) are the other top earners on the third Friday.
So far, Dhurandhar has earned Rs. 503 crores nett in India, and this is without any support from other languages. With the weekend numbers coming in, the film is set to get closer to the Rs. 600 crores nett club. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. Shashwat Sachdev composed the tunes.
