Drishyam: The Conclusion, the final chapter of the Drishyam franchise headlined by Ajay Devgn, arrived in cinemas today. The crime thriller, directed by Abhishek Pathak, opened to a mind-blowing response at the box office.

Due to the extraordinary occupancies, exhibitors started adding midnight shows in major centres. As Drishyam arrived with a bang and the reports are also highly encouraging, it is likely to rule the box office for a long time. Hence, the makers of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Udta Teer, which was scheduled for an October 9 release, have now moved it to a later date.

Udta Teer will now arrive in theatres on October 23. The team behind Udta Teer felt that it wouldn’t be wise to bring the film when the marketplace is too crowded. Hence, they chose a new date to give the film proper showcasing.

Generally, when a big film arrives with solid reports, it is more likely to eat into the business of other films. In such instances, even films with good content can struggle at the box office, and the Udta Teer team has indeed made a sensible decision.
