Popular Telugu folk singer Mangli, also known as Satyavathi Rathod, has landed in legal trouble after police raided her birthday party at Tripura Resort in Chevella, near Hyderabad, early Wednesday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, Cyberabad police seized foreign liquor, ganja, and unauthorized DJ equipment. The event had no official permissions and was attended by around 48 guests, including a few notable industry names.
Cases have been registered under the NDPS Act and Sound Pollution Act against Mangli, the resort manager, event organiser, and one attendee.
Police are now investigating the source of the drugs and verifying resort licenses. Videos from the party have gone viral, sparking shock among fans and raising questions about the singer’s future.
