Bollywood’s latest outing, Drishyam: The Conclusion, headlined by Ajay Devgn, has taken the box office by storm. The film registered the fourth-biggest advances of all time for an original Hindi film before its first shows began (Rs. 26 crores nett).

The crime thriller has received glowing reviews and solid word of mouth, which resulted in a huge jump in spot bookings. According to early estimates, Drishyam: The Conclusion earned a mind-boggling Rs. 68 crores nett on its opening day in India.

The final number might differ slightly, but at the moment, it is confirmed to be the second-biggest opener of all time for Hindi cinema. Even the optimistic trade predictions suggested an opening in the vicinity of Rs. 50 crores, but the Ajay Devgn starrer exceeded them by a huge margin.
