After the blockbuster Baby, Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya once again collaborated for the romantic drama Epic. It marks the silver screen debut of #90s director Aditya Haasan, and the film also belongs to the same world as the web show.
Epic commenced its journey with paid premieres on Thursday night, and the film opened to below-par reviews, with more criticism aimed at the second half. As per trade reports, the movie opened to Rs. 3.5 crores gross worldwide. The opening number includes premieres, with Nizam being the main contributor.
The opening day collections are definitely below expectations, and the movie needs to show growth over the weekend to be able to cross the breakeven mark. Naga Vamsi bankrolled this romantic drama under Sithara Entertainments.
