Euphoria

Noted Telugu director Gunasekhar faced a major setback with the mythological drama Shaakuntalam, headlined by Samantha. His last two films were high-budget, large-scale ventures, but this time he returns with a youthful entertainer titled Euphoria.

The film features Bhumika Chawla, Dhurandhar fame Sara Arjun, Gautam Menon, Nassar, Rohith, Vignesh Gavireddy, Likhitha Yalamanchali, Addala Prudhviraj, Kalpa Latha, and others in pivotal roles. Today, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer at a special event. The film narrates the story of a teenage girl who aspires to become a civil servant.

However, her dreams take a drastic turn when she gets addicted to drugs and completely loses direction in life. Parallelly, the trailer also introduces a woman, played by Bhumika Chawla, who is deeply depressed as her son spirals out of control due to drug abuse. Euphoria appears to offer a hard-hitting social commentary on drug abuse, sexual assaults on women, the POCSO Act, and the rising crime rate in Hyderabad.

The trailer suggests that Gunasekhar still has his directorial touch intact, and it is refreshing to see him opt for a grounded narrative that relies less on heavy VFX. Overall, the trailer leaves a strong and impactful impression. The movie is set to hit the big screens on February 6, 2026.
