Former Miss India, Niharika Singh has joined the #MeToo movement and stated that she was sexually and emotionally harassed by actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The two had worked together in ‘Miss Lovely’, an indie film which won quite a few awards globally.
In an elaborate post, Niharika stated that the two were dating for sometime after Nawazuddin coerced her; however, she soon realized that her co-star was spreading rumours that she isn’t a good actress and made sure that she didn’t get good work in Bollywood. She called him a liar and said that he misbehaved with her on several occasions.
Incidentally, Nawazuddin had revealed about his affair with Niharika Singh in his authorised biography; however, it had to be pulled off from the shelves after Niharika sent the team a legal notice for defaming her. Now, it remains to be seen how Bollywood reacts to these strong allegations made by Niharika.
