The Kerala Story, which featured Adah Sharma in the lead role, is a smashing blockbuster. Directed by Sudipto Sen, the movie received overwhelming box office numbers thanks to the controversy factor. Once again, Adah Sharma and Sudipto Sen joined hands for a film called Bastar: The Naxal Story, which was released yesterday.

Despite coming from the blockbuster duo, the film hardly made any impact prior to its release. The promotional material failed to generate buzz, and this Adah Sharma starrer was labeled as another propaganda film. As expected, the film opened to poor occupancies all over. According to trade experts, the movie raked in about 50 lakhs nett in India, which is disastrous.

In addition, Bastar: The Naxal Story received poor reviews from critics, and unless some miracle happens, the film will likely wrap up below double-digit collections. The makers claim that the film sheds light on the impact of Naxalism in India.
