Madhavan’s GDN is a biographical drama based on the life of legendary Indian inventor and industrialist G.D. Naidu, popularly known as the “Edison of India.” Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the film stars Madhavan as Naidu and was released in theatres on August 7, 2026.
While the film received appreciation for its subject and performances, it did not make a big impact at the box office. Now, those who missed it in theatres can watch GDN on Netflix from September 4, 2026, giving the film another chance to reach a wider audience. The film will arrive in multiple languages on OTT.
Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Vinay Rai, Aditi Balan and Karunakaran are part of the cast. Govind Vasantha composed the music, while the film was produced under the Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films banners.
