Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi’s Viduthalai Part 2 is confirmed for release on the same date, December 20, 2024. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the movie carries decent buzz, as its prequel was a super hit. Viduthalai 2 is also set for a grand release in Telugu as Vidudala Part 2, with the renowned Geetha Arts distributing it.
While no other Telugu movie is set to compete with Game Changer, the makers of Viduthalai 2 have taken a bold move, making the clash even more interesting. In a way, it’s a showdown between the star Tamil directors – Shankar and Vetrimaaran. Whether Vidudala 2 can withstand the competition in the Telugu states from Game Changer remains to be seen.
