Tamil Gen Z drama Pookie, which was dubbed and released in Telugu under the title Bookie, failed to make an impact in theatres and later on OTT as well.

Starring Ajay Dhishan and RK Dhanusha in the lead roles, the film is directed by Ganesh Chandra. Despite its underwhelming run so far, Bookie is back in the spotlight with its world television premiere scheduled for May 9, 2026, at 12 PM on Z Cinemalu. It remains to be seen whether the TV outing can draw better attention.

The film is produced by Vijay Antony, who also composed the music. The supporting cast features Manchu Lakshmi, Pandiarajan, Indumathi Manikandan, Vivek Prasanna, Black Pandi, and Aditya Kathir among others.
