GOAT poster issue – Venkat Prabhu’s witty reply grabs attention

Esteemed Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu is presently working with the acclaimed actor Vijay for the much-anticipated project, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), where Vijay is slated to showcase his versatility in a dual role.

However, the initial excitement over the first look poster was met with criticism from Vijay’s detractors, who pointed out perceived similarities with the Hollywood film Gemini Man, featuring Will Smith in dual roles, which faced a disappointing reception at the box office.

Responding to a critic who not only poked fun at Vijay’s filmography but also suggested remaking a successful Telugu film, accompanied by the Hollywood movie’s poster, Venkat Prabhu delivered a humorous response, stating, “Sorry bro. I expected something better from you. Happy New Year!” This witty retort endeared him to the online community while subtly emphasising that the movie is an original creation.

Currently in the production phase, GOAT boasts an impressive cast, including Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogibabu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Amir, Mic Mohan, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash in pivotal roles.
