It is known that star actress Samantha is doing a film called Shaakuntalam under the direction of Gunasekhar. The film has wrapped up its shoot and is currently in the post-production phase. The team has released a couple of posters till now.

Today the director took to his Twitter handle and wrote that he is set out to present everyone with a whimsical tale of love, Shaakuntalam. He added that the film is getting its final touches and he is looking forward to meeting all at the promotions of the film.

With this latest update from the director himself, the fans of Samantha are feeling cheerful. The director also wrote about his forthcoming project Hiranyakashyapa and clarified that it will be made on a large scale.

To note Shaakuntalam is based on the play Shakuntala written by Kalisada. Dev Mohan plays the love interest of Samantha in this mythological drama that is produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Team Works. Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla are doing key roles. Mani Sharma is the music composer.
