It’s been a week since Telugu film industry’s first-ever modern-day superhero film, Hanu-Man, released in cinemas worldwide. The film has emerged as a humongous blockbuster in the domestic and overseas markets. And in the North American region, the Prasanth Varma directorial has scripted history by grossing over $3.5 million within just a week.
Thanks to its phenomenal run, Hanu-Man has entered the list of all-time top 5 highest grossing Telugu movies in the USA and Canada. The film is next only to Baahubali2 ($20.79M), RRR ($14.85M), Salaar ($8.92M), and Baahubali ($8.49M). Hanu-Man is still being screened in nearly 350 locations across North America, and is collecting little over $100K gross on a daily basis. The numbers are expected to rise over the weekend.
Hanu-Man has been released by Prime Show Entertainment and Nirvana Cinemas banners in the overseas. Produced by Niranjan Reddy, the film has Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles.
