Has Harish Shankar finally moved on from the debacle of his recent film, Ramayya Vastavayya? It certainly seems so. The film starring NTR, Samantha and Shruti Haasan released in October this year; however, Harish Shankar couldn’t repeat the magic of his earlier film, Gabbar Singh. Soon after the film’s release, he openly confessed that he is responsible for the film’s failure at the box-office and no one else can be blamed for the result.
“I don’t like sharing credit with others when my films don’t do well,” he said, in a recent interview. Apparently, he has already prepared three screens, out of which two films are going to be mass entertainers. The third script is said to be for a low budget film and Harish Shankar confessed that he’s going to try to break away from the commercial format with this untitled project.
Post Ramayya Vastavayya’s release, there has been no official confirmation about what Harish Shankar’s next project is going to be; however, given his temperament and fighting spirit, it wouldn’t be surprising if he makes a strong comeback. He proved that with Mirapakay, which released after his first film ‘Shock’ failed to click and it might be only a matter of time before he does it again.
