Harish Shankar: I don’t give a damn about trollers

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh isn’t performing as expected at the box office. However, director Harish Shankar hasn’t given up and continues to promote the action drama aggressively by participating in multiple interactive sessions with fans.

When asked how he deals with online trolling, the filmmaker said, “I don’t take trollers seriously because they don’t have the courage to reveal their identity or whereabouts. When I say something, I take accountability and responsibility, but they don’t. If I had taken them seriously, I would have quit social media by now. They keep talking about various things, including collections.”

He added, “The first people to ‘troll’ me were my parents when I told them about my plans to become a director. When someone crosses the line and uses abusive language, I block them and take legal action. Bringing the film to theatres on time despite multiple hurdles and a sudden preponement itself is my big success. I am completely happy with the output, and people are loving Ustaad Bhagat Singh.”
