This Ugadi is set to be a treat for Telugu movie lovers, who have never seen language as a barrier when it comes to cinema. Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, and Ranveer Singh’s revenge drama Dhurandhar: The Revenge are arriving in theatres on the same day – March 19, 2026.

Naturally, there is strong buzz around this box office clash, even though both films belong to completely different genres.

At today’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh press meet, Harish Shankar addressed the situation with a balanced perspective. Speaking about Dhurandhar 2, he called Aditya Dhar a very talented director and said he has admired his work since Uri. He added, “This is not a competition, but a celebration of cinema.”

He also expressed confidence in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, calling it a full-on commercial entertainer with solid repeat value.

The film features Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, KS Ravikumar, Parthiban, and Gautami in key roles. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad.
