Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1, released on September 30th, is doing well at the Tamilnadu box office. The film had an ensemble star cast of Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi.
The latest news is that the film’s part 2 will be hitting the screens in the summer 2023. Part two’s shoot was simultaneously done along with the first part, and currently, the post-production works are going on. The exact release date will be informed shortly by the movie team.
Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions jointly bankrolled this prestigious project that has music by AR Rahman. The film is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
