Released as an underdog amidst three other biggies during the Sankranthi festive season, the superhero flick, Hanu-Man, has scripted history by becoming the highest grossing Sankranthi movie of all time. The Prasanth Varma directorial is particularly doing quite well in the Nizam region.

Hanu-Man has successfully completed its 3-week journey at cinemas. The film has amassed a whopping Rs 62.68 crore gross at the ticket counters across Nizam, with a massive distributor share of Rs 30.65 crore (excl GST of about Rs 6 Cr). The film has pulled off this massive achievement from a total of 15,170 shows and 33,37,952 footfalls. The film is expected to continue its decent run at least for another week.

Young actors Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, and Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar essayed lead roles in this visual spectacle. Niranjan Reddy has bankrolled this project. Audiences are eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel, Jai Hanuman. The sequel is expected to feature several leading actors from Tollywood and Bollywood.
