After the blockbuster success of Premalu and Bramayugam, another film titled Manjummel Boys kickstarted its box office journey with a bang. Manjummel Boys had more buzz than these other two hit films even before its release, and hence, the movie registered solid advance bookings.
The film received exceptional reviews and word of mouth right from its morning show. Manjummel Boys collected about 15 crores gross worldwide in two days out of which 6.65 crores came from Kerala. The weekend bookings are remarkable, and going by the trend, the film can earn about 35 crores gross in its four-day extended weekend. As the mouth talk is extremely good, Manjummel Boys has a high chance of breaching the 100 crores gross mark as well.
The hold during the weekdays will give us a clear picture of the final figure. Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller based on a real incident where a few friends set out on a journey to Kodaikanal. The movie features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arjun Kurian, and others in pivotal roles.
Directed by Chidambaram, the film is bankrolled jointly by Soubin Shahir and Shawn Antony under the banner of Parava Films. Sushin Shyam composed the tunes.
