Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2, a spy action thriller, was released in cinemas on August 14, 2025, during the Independence Day week but failed to cash in fully on the holiday weekend due to weak promotions, poor execution, and competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
The movie, part of the YRF Spy Universe, completed its first week at the box office. The Hindi version in India alone crossed a staggering Rs. 150 crore at the box office, with around Rs. 4.75 crore nett collected on Wednesday alone.
This is an okay feat given the mixed reviews, and the total has already crossed Rs. 300 crore gross globally. Kiara Advani is also part of this epic action drama produced by Yash Raj Films.
