Shyam Singha Roy’s hero Nani, heroine Sai Pallavi, Kollywood actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani, the film’s producer Venkat Boyanapalli and the film’s core crew members were present at Shyam Singha Roy’s Tamil trailer launch event in Chennai. Speaking at the event, Nani made an exciting statement that will leave his and Kollywood hero Sivakarthikeyan fans thrilled.
Nani revealed that he has been waiting for the right script to act in a straight Tamil film from a long time. “After Naan Ee’s (Eega) success, my Tamil fans gave me a warm welcome. I waited for the right project to make a comeback in Tamil. When I listened to Shyam Singha Roy’s script, I suggested that it can be made in Tamil as well. I am sure that everyone will love this film,” said Nani.
Nani went on to say that fans can soon see collaborations between several Tamil and Telugu stars in future. “Working with Mani Ratnam sir has been my long-cherished dream, as I am his hardcore fan. I would also like to share screen space with Sivakarthikeyan, and it will definitely happen with the right script,” said Nani.
Shyam Singha Roy is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Nani will be seen in dual roles in this film, which is hitting screens on December 24. Mickey J Meyer has composed the soundtrack.
