S S Rajamouli has finally acknowledged National Awards jury for giving Eega two awards including Best Feature Film in Telugu and Best Special Effects. The awards were announced earlier today and Eega was the only Telugu film to have won any awards this year. “Thanks a ton guys, for all the congratulatory messages. Will convey the wishes to the whole team.Best Vfx is almost expected:) Personal congrats to Makuta in particular to their young animation team for believing& working hard to achieve that.Congratulations& thanks to my producer Sai garu4 believing in content&emotion of eega and suresh babu garu4 his ability to envision my dream,” S S Rajamouli tweeted.

However, there was one unfulfilled wish for Rajamouli. Despite winning the two awards, Rajamouli stated that it would have been all the more better had Sudeep won an award for his outstanding performance in Eega. “But I would have been really happy had Sudeep received the recognition for his extraordinary efforts. Eega is not the same without him,” he added on Twitter. Sudeep had become a household name after acting as the villain in Eega and he was simply superb on his role. Post Eega, he has signed one Telugu film – Action 3D in which he’s playing a crucial role.
