I’m Not Good At Judging Scripts : Shriya
Published on May 23, 2018 12:33 am IST

Shriya Saran, who got married earlier this year, has returned to India after a long vacation in Europe. The actress was recently spotted at an event in Chennai and buzz is that she is going to start shooting for her next project shortly.

Talking about her career, Shriya said that she has had her share of highs and lows, and added that her perspective on cinema changed after she worked with several stalwarts. “I get better roles in Telugu compared to Tamil cinema. I don’t like it when people ask me why I haven’t been signing films because we can only choose from what we are offered. I don’t write my scripts, and honestly, it is still a male-dominated industry. So, actresses have a smaller window compared to men to work in film industry.”

Interestingly, the actress had no qualms accepting that she regrets being part of few films, although she never named any of them. “I’m not good at judging scripts and I prefer reading scripts instead of sitting through narrations. However, very few people give us bound scripts and ideas are developed while shooting. They tell us something, but end up shooting another thing. I have never understood that process,” Shriya said.
