Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has added a new feather to his cap. The star batsman has lent his voice for Spider Man in the upcoming superhero movie, Spider Man Across The Spider Verse. Shubman has dubbed for the film’s Hindi and Punjabi versions.
Sony Pictures India, the leading distribution house that’s releasing Spider Man Across The Spider Verse in India, today released a special announcement video featuring Shubman Gill. Interestingly, Spider Man will be called Pavitr Prabhakar in the Indian versions. With his latest stint, Shubman Gill becomes the first Indian sports star to dub for a Hollywood franchise.
Spider Man Across The Spider Verse will be releasing in as many as 10 languages in India, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Bengali on June 2.
