Producer Naga Vamsi’s previous release, Epic-First Semester, brought the hit Baby pair Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya together once again. Directed by debutant Aditya Hasan, the rom-com failed to make an impact at the box office during its theatrical run. Now, the film is set to stream on Netflix starting tomorrow.
Ahead of the digital debut, the streaming platform’s listing caught everyone’s attention for an unexpected reason. Instead of the original title, the film has been listed as Epic Classic-First Semester. It is still unclear whether this is just a technical typo by the Netflix team or an intentional title tweak.
The sudden name change has naturally led to talk online about whether the OTT version will have extra scenes or an alternate cut compared to what played in theaters.
We will likely get a clear picture once the film goes live tonight. Jointly produced by Sai Soujanya under Fortune Four Cinemas, the multi-language OTT release has music by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
