RRR is announced for worldwide theatrical release on the 7th of January 2022. The unit has been promoting the film’s arrival in an aggressive manner.
However, amidst the Omicron threat, several states in northern India, including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have announced night curfews and 50% seating capacity at cinema halls. This is leading to doubts on RRR’s theatrical release in these states.
Now, RRR’s OTT rumors have surfaced again. It is heard that RRR might be released directly on OTT on pay per view basis in states where theatrical release is not a viable option. This has become the hot topic now.
But the makers are yet to comment on the same.
