Actor Nithiin will soon commence shooting for the much-talked-about rural drama, Yellamma. The film will be directed by Balagam fame Venu Yeldandi and bankrolled by star producer Dil Raju. Yellamma’s first schedule will begin in the last week of May.
Yellamma will be made with a budget of over Rs 40 crore. Director Venu Yeldandi is said to have penned a rooted drama that explores the emotional journey of a singing troupe hailing from an oppressed community. The story portrays their aspirations and struggles. The film’s story is centered around Goddess Yellamma, adding the spiritual element. Apparently, just like how he envisioned Balagam, director Venu Yeldandi has once again drawn inspiration from real-life people to craft Yellamma’s story.
After Sai Pallavi, star heroine Keerthy Suresh’s name was doing the rounds as the film’s leading lady until recently. However, Keerthy has reportedly exited the project due to a lack of dates. More details about this exciting project will be out in the coming days.
