Roshan is set to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Champion. National Award winner Pradeep Advaitham helmed this flick, and Mollywood actress Anaswara Rajan is making her Tollywood debut with this flick. Priyanka Dutt, GK Mohan, and Gemini Kiran produced Champion under the banners of Swapna Cinema, Anandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, with Zee Studios presenting it. The movie is set to hit the big screens this Christmas, and ahead of the release, Roshan interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

Ram Charan garu praised you to the sky at the trailer launch event. How did you feel?

I am very happy, I have known Charan Anna since my childhood. He spoke very well about me and my film. I am really elated by his words and kind support for Champion.

Champion was compared to Magadheera. Will the film’s concept be heavy?

The story happens in 1948. Champion is a grand war action drama. Many know about Bairanpally’s history. We created a fictional character called Michael and presented the story.

What’s the reference for Champion?

The story is about the Hyderabad province, which didn’t attain independence even after India achieved freedom. My director gave me a lot of references. Swapna garu is very particular about every aspect. A lot of research has gone into the making of Champion, and we did multiple workshops. The film has superb drama.

Looking at the visuals, it seems a huge budget was spent on the film. Are you feeling the pressure?

In Hollywood, movies like Spiderman will be made on a budget of Rs. 3000 crores, but they feature new actors. The amount is spent on the film. Since our subject is strong, producers invested in the film.

Tell us about your future projects.

The announcement will come out soon. This time there won’t be much gap. I am planning to make three films in two years.
