Sai Pallavi is one of the most adored actresses in South. However, despite her nationwide popularity, the actress has never been in a rush to sign back-to-back projects and she carefully chooses movies that are rich in content and offer her author-backed roles.

Thanks to her choosy nature, Sai Pallavi has not been seen on the big screen for more than one and a half years. Her last theatrical release was Viraata Parvam that released in June, 2022. Sai Pallavi also had a direct OTT release in Gargi, in July last year.

Now, if the latest buzz in the Tamil film circles is anything to be believed, Sai Pallavi’s ongoing film, tentatively titled SK21, will be hitting theaters in August, 2024: This means Sai Pallavi fans will only get to see her on the silver screens after over 2 years since Viraata Parvam’s release.

SK21 has popular Tamil hero Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The Rajkumar Periasamy directorial is being produced by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Sony Pictures International Productions. Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. The film is expected to open in cinemas in 2025.
