The biopic of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, titled Michael, premiered on April 22, 2026, in several regions across the globe and initially received a negative response. However, the scenario changed once it hit theaters for the general public.
Audiences have embraced Jaafar Jackson’s performance and are loving the film, giving it a big thumbs up. Within just two days of its release in India, the film reportedly grossed over Rs. 10 crore, with the weekend collection expected to reach around Rs. 16 crore, which is impressive.
Globally, the film is on track to earn around $100 million in its opening weekend, potentially the highest ever for a biopic. How much more the film will add to this total remains to be seen.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the biopic also stars Nia Long, Juliano Valdi, and KeiLyn Durrel Jones in key roles. The film’s music is composed by Lior Rosner.
