Jailer 2, the much-awaited sequel starring Superstar Rajinikanth, will release on October 15. The team has planned back-to-back updates leading to the release during Dussehra.
Meanwhile, reports from Kollywood circles suggest that Jailer 2 is facing censor issues, reportedly creating a difference of opinion between Rajinikanth and director Nelson. The film was recently sent for censor certification, and the censor board apparently asked the makers to remove a portion from a violent sequence to issue a U/A certificate. However, Nelson is said to have refused the change as it is vital to the story. This could result in the film receiving an A certificate.
Rajinikanth, on the other hand, is reportedly insisting that the film should receive a U/A certificate. This has apparently put the makers in a dilemma over the particular scene. If the director gets his way, the film could receive an A certificate; otherwise, it may get a U/A certificate. It remains to be seen which version will eventually hit the screens. Anirudh is composing the music, while Sun Pictures is producing the film.
