Superstar Rajinikanth will be next seen in the gangster action drama film Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is surrounded by sky-high expectations and is set to hit the big screens on August 14, 2025. After Coolie, Rajini is set to star in Jailer 2.
Jailer 2 is one more potential PAN Indian blockbuster since the first part was well-received by the audience. According to the buzz on social media, this much-awaited sequel might hit the screens in Summer 2026. The word is that the makers are targeting April 2026 release.
An official announcement is yet to be made. Nelson has spent significant time on the script and pre-production works, and hence, the shooting is expected to be completed in a quick time. Recently Rajini joined the sets and the team canned a few key scenes. Anirudh is the music composer. Sun Pictures is bankrolling this flick.
