Jana Nayagan, Vijay’s final film, has reportedly registered close to 90% occupancy across Tamil Nadu, with fans celebrating its release like a festival.
From early morning shows to packed theatres, Vijay mania is on full display, and massive day-one collections are now on the cards in Tamil Nadu.
The film, which is based on the Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari, has generated tremendous buzz due to its emotional significance as Vijay’s farewell project.
While the response in Tamil Nadu has been good, the openings in the Telugu states are only decent. Moreover, the word of mouth from Telugu audiences has been mixed, which could affect its long-term run in those regions.
However, in Tamil Nadu, the film is off to a flying start and is expected to post huge opening-day numbers. H Vinoth directs the film which has Mamitha Baiju and Pooja Hegde in key roles.
