Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, is slated for a Pongal release on January 9, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the action drama is based on Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi’s superhit Bhagavanth Kesari. The first single, “Thalapathy Kacheri,” has received a positive response.
As per the latest update, Jana Nayagan is set to be Vijay’s longest film after Nanban, with a tentative runtime of 186 minutes (3 hours 6 minutes). The final duration will be confirmed soon and is likely to remain close to this length. The movie’s closing minutes are reportedly dedicated to a special tribute to Vijay.
Pooja Hegde plays the female lead, while latest sensation Mamitha Baiju will be seen in a crucial role. The ensemble cast includes Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, and others. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions is bankrolling the film.
