Janhvi Kapoor Reacts to AI Video Controversy: “Deeply Violating, Bordering on Sexual Assault”

Janhvi Kapoor has finally spoken about the AI-generated video involving her that went viral on social media. The video, which digitally altered her appearance from the Chuttamalle song in Devara, drew strong reactions from Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and several others, who condemned the misuse of technology and called for action against those responsible.

In her statement, Janhvi said using technology to objectify women and circulate fictionalised content without their consent is “deeply violating, bordering on sexual assault.” She stressed that consent and personal boundaries should always be respected, regardless of what a woman wears or what choices she makes. She also said, “Even if a woman says yes five days in a row and no on the sixth, that no must be respected.”

Janhvi said the issue goes beyond the AI videos she has faced and reflects the larger reality of women dealing with judgement and safety concerns every day. She thanked Jr NTR for taking a strong stand and also appreciated Chiranjeevi, Vijay and Khushbu for speaking up against such practices. She ended her statement with a simple message: “Her body. Her image. Her boundaries. Her choice.”
