Jason Vijay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, is set to make his directorial debut with the action drama Sigma. The film was initially announced for a July 31 release but was postponed to give way to his father’s farewell film, Jana Nayagan.
According to the latest info, Sigma is likely to hit theatres on September 18. The makers are expected to kick off the promotional campaign soon, although an official announcement is still awaited.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan made an impressive directorial debut with the series Ba**ds of Bollywood, and it remains to be seen whether Jason Vijay can leave a similar mark with his maiden venture.
Sigma stars Faria Abdullah as the female lead, while Sampath Raj, Raju Sundaram, and Shiv Panditt play key roles. Backed by Lyca Productions, the film features music composed by Thaman.
