Hindi film superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is storming the global box office and has raked in over Rs 858 crore gross. The film is inching towards the rare Rs 1,000 crore club and is also sure to surpass the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh’s previous blockbuster, Pathaan.
Now, in a latest interview, Jawan’s director Atlee has opened up about his Oscar dreams. He said that Jawan should go to the Oscars. Atlee hoped that Shah Rukh reads about his wish to take Jawan to the prestigious Academy Awards and that he would also discuss the same with the King Khan over a call.
Last year, SS Rajamouli’s RRR created a huge splash at various international film festivals before finally grabbing the coveted Oscar for Best Song. Whether or not Jawan fulfills Atlee’s Oscar dreams depends heavily on how seriously SRK considers Atlee’s request.
