Thalaivi, the much-talked-about biopic on yesteryear silver screen diva and former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa, has wrapped up its shooting formalities. The film, directed by Tamil filmmaker AL Vijay, features Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as Jayaa.
Thalaivi’s makers released a picture of Kangana reprising an iconic pose of Jayalalithaa and the resemblance is quite remarkable. The film also stars Arvind Swami as Jayaa’s mentor, yesteryear legendary actor and former Tamil Nadu CM MGR. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the soundtrack for this Tamil-Hindi bilingual.
T-Series, Vibri Media and Karma Media Entertainments banners are jointly bankrolling the film. Thalaivi will be hitting screens in summer next year.
