Tharun Bhascker’s quirky entertainer Gaayapadda Simham, directed by debutant Kasyap Sreenivas, is slated for release on May 1st. It is produced by Manthina, Bhanu Kiran Pratapa, Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni, and Umesh Bansal under Saptaswa Media Works, POV Stories, and Zee Studios. Faria Abdullah and Maanasa Choudhary play the female leads.
The makers have now unveiled another key character. JD Chakravarthy as Brutal Dharma, through a new glimpse. Living up to his name, the introduction presents him as a chilling yet stylish antagonist. His look, sharp outfits, dark shades, and a chunky gold chain exude swagger, while his performance carries a striking retro gangster vibe.
The glimpse hints at Dharma’s involvement in illegal logistics, drugs, and weapons, all linked to a company named Satya Logistics. It ends on a darkly humorous note, as Dharma abruptly shoots a henchman mid-sentence to cut short his long-winded monologue, before casually asking his team if they expected him to wait for the speech to finish. The moment perfectly blends intensity with dark humor, promising a menacing yet entertaining character.
