Two Telugu films, Jetlee and Gaayapadda Simham, completed their opening weekends after releasing in theaters last Friday. Unfortunately, neither Satya’s nor Tharun Bhascker’s respective projects managed to secure a solid “hit” response from the public. Both films earned mixed to below-par reviews, which has significantly impacted their momentum at the box office.
Surprisingly, the movies are failing to trend in hourly ticket sales on BookMyShow, further highlighting the lukewarm audience reception. This lack of digital traction suggests that word-of-mouth has not been strong enough to drive significant footfall. Industry analysts expect Monday collections to decline sharply as the initial weekend rush fades.
It remains to be seen how much these films can recover or collect throughout the remainder of the week. With a slow start and lack of buzz, the coming days will be a critical test for their commercial survival. Both productions will likely struggle to maintain screen counts if the downward trend continues into the next weekend.
