Writer-director Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda Double X is scheduled for a grand release on 10 November 2023. The movie stars Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. Today, the makers released the film’s theatrical trailer.
As per the trailer, the story happens in 1975. A gangster, played by Lawrence, wishes to become a hero. He is a dark-skinned person and decides to break the stereotype that only fair-skinned people can become heroes in the Telugu industry. He chooses Ray Daasan, played by SJ Suryah, as the director.
Then the trailer shifts to action mode as we are shown some massy fight sequences. A woman asks SJ Suryah to make a film on a patriot, to which he says that people won’t see such films anymore. Naveen Chandra and Shine Tom Chacko are also present in the trailer, but we need to see the film to know more about their roles.
On the whole, the trailer is promising, with good dialogues and visuals. Lawrence and SJ Suryah look good in their roles. The movie is produced by Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and S Kathiresan under the banner of Stone Bench Films. Santhosh Narayanan composed the tunes. The movie will hit the screens in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.
