KA on OTT: What about the multilingual release?

Kiran Abbavaram’s thriller KA, directed by Sujith and Sandeep, has emerged as a sensational hit following its Diwali release, garnering praise from critics and audiences alike. The film is now set to stream on ETV Win starting November 28, 2024.

Originally announced as Kiran Abbavaram’s first pan-Indian film, KA later saw its release limited to Telugu due to a lack of theaters in other states. However, the movie did have its Malayalam release last week, aided by the support of Dulquer Salmaan.

Now, the big question is: Where will viewers be able to watch the film in other languages? While it’s common for films to offer multiple audio options on OTT platforms, KA won’t follow this trend. ETV Win has not announced a multilingual release, and until now, no films on the platform have launched with multiple audio tracks.

This leaves many wondering: Will the makers strike a deal with another OTT platform for a multilingual release, or will they stick to a Telugu-only debut on ETV Win, with plans for the other versions to release in theaters in the coming months – or potentially not release them at all? Only Kiran Abbavaram and his team have the answers.
