Yesterday, the Kalki 2898 AD team announced that the biggie will be hitting the screens on the 27th of June. This Prabhas starrer is made on a massive budget, and it is directed by Nag Ashwin. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani are playing key roles. Kamal Haasan is essaying a cameo.
Now, the buzz in Kollywood film circles is that Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s Indian 2 is slated for release on 13th June. The word is that the makers wanted to cash in on the Bakrid holiday. Though the official confirmation is yet to come, the buzz has gone viral.
If the rumors turn out to be true, there will be just two weeks gap between Kalki 2898 AD and Indian 2. Both the movies have huge potential in multiple languages, and having a short gap between these tent-pole projects might affect their box office prospects in the long run. We need to see how things will play out in the coming days.
