Ever since the tragic on-location accident that killed 3 crew members in February last year and the following lockdown, the shooting of Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s highly-anticipated patriotic drama, Indian 2, never took off again. Adding to the woes, Shankar and Indian 2 producers at Lyca Productions have been entangled in a legal dispute after Shankar chose to delay Indian 2’s shoot to complete Ram Charan’s film chat.

Since summer earlier this year, Kamal has been acting as a mediator between Shankar and Lyca to resolve their issues. Now, the latest buzz in Kollywood circles has it that Kamal has successfully resolved the issues between Shankar and Lyca. Furthermore, Kamal also convinced Shankar to resume indian 2’s shoot soon after he wraps up his ongoing film with Ram Charan.

It is well known that Shankar and the producers at Lyca Productions were at loggerheads after Shankar revised Indian 2’s budget and increasing it by several crores. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles.
