Kanguva, headlined by Suriya, has hit the screens today amidst high anticipation. From the beginning, the makers have been confident that Kanguva would emerge as a Rs. 1000 crore grosser. Studio Green, in association with UV Creations, bankrolled this biggie.
However, the film is receiving poor response from reviewers.
According to the estimates, Kanguva earned approximately Rs 38 gross at the worldwide box office. This is slightly higher than Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, but given the massive budget of Kanguva, a much bigger opening was expected. Now that the reports are out, it will be interesting to see how this Siruthai Siva’s directorial will perform over the weekend.
The team went all out for the promotions, but the film didn’t reach expectations based on the current trends. This VFX-heavy action drama also features Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad composed the tunes. The team has officially announced a second part for Kanguva.
