National Award-winning Kannada actor-director Rishab Shetty’s recently released pan-India fantasy drama, Kantara Chapter 1, is going great guns at the North American box office. The film amassed a whopping $1.25 million within two days of its release.
As per the latest trade updates, Kantara Chapter 1 has already collected $350K plus gross from Saturday advance sales and is set for a solid day ahead. The film has surpassed the $1.5 million milestone and has set its eyes on the $2 million club. Kantara Chapter 1 is the highest-grossing Kannada film after Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 in the region.
Globally, Kantara Chapter 1 has collected over Rs 150 crore and is inching closer to the Rs 150 crore milestone. The film, also starring Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles, is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner.
