Rishab Shetty’s PAN Indian film Kantara: Chapter 1 has opened to solid reviews from critics, and word of mouth is also no different. The action drama exceeded expectations everywhere and posted excellent numbers. The film took a phenomenal opening in the Telugu states as well.
In the Nizam region, Kantara: Chapter 1 earned a distributor share of Rs. 3.80 crores (excluding GST), which is terrific. Had there been no competition with OG, the opening could have been much bigger. Kantara: Chapter 1 is expected to earn superb revenues over the weekend.
Rukmini Vasanth played the leading lady in this big-ticket entertainer. Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, Pramod Shetty, Naveen D. Padil, and others played key roles. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the film features music by Ajaneesh Loknath.
