Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited biggie Kantara: Chapter 1 is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on October 2, 2025.
Directed by Rishab himself, the pan-Indian film has opened ticket bookings in all languages except Telugu, as the makers are awaiting a ticket price revision.
The film faces a towering challenge overseas, with a $9 million break-even target in North America, a figure that could redefine Sandalwood’s presence on the global stage.
Featuring Rukmini Vasanth as the leading lady, the mythical drama is produced on a lavish scale by Hombale Films, with music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
