Kantara starring Rishab Shetty, is making noise not just in Kannada but in all the languages it released. Even in the overseas region, the film has dominated all other Indian movies and made Kannada cinema stand tall again. The Hindi version made approximately 7.5 crores in the first weekend.
Everyone was waiting for the first Monday numbers to see how the film holds. Now the update from PR is that this village drama made 1.75 crores yesterday despite lower ticket rates on the weekday. So the movie would indeed have a long run, and it is set to surpass a few other milestones as well.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, Kantara also stars Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, Naveen D Padli, and Pramod Shetty in crucial roles. Rishab himself handled the direction apart from being the protagonist.
